Application for a Gopher Tortoise Conservation Awareness Sign
Do you own at least 10 acres of forestland?
Does your forest management conserve habitat for the gopher tortoise and other wildlife? Provide us with information about how you are managing your forest to benefit the pine ecosystem and improve or maintain habitat for gopher tortoise, and the American Forest Foundation will send you a 12” x 18” aluminum sign, free of charge, that you can post on your property. The partner organizations associated with this conservation initiative hope this sign will encourage your neighbors and other landowners to learn how they, too, can conserve pine habitat. The information you provide will remain confidential. Center for Conservation Solutions only reports statistics cumulatively by category and by state. To learn more about recommended conservation practices for the gopher tortoise, request or download a copy of Pine Ecosystem Conservation Handbook for the Gopher Tortoise: A Guide for Family Forest Owners.
